A couple weeks ago, I took the plunge and activated Gutenberg on my personal blog. There were a few quirks here and there, but for the most part, migrating to the new Gutenberg block editor has been a pleasant experience. Want to try out Gutenberg my theme + my theme?

Honestly though, writing in WordPress is finally fun again. And with the custom Gutenberg styling I’ve baked into my WordPress theme, the whole content creation experience feels so “natural.” So do you want to give it a spin and see what the next era of WordPress themes will be like? Well, now is your chance! I created a live sandbox with Gutenberg and my Tabor WordPress theme installed, so folks can experience first-hand what the future of WordPress holds.

As a WordPress theme developer, I’m absolutely thrilled for the new block editor. There’s so much opportunity to build brilliantly crafted WordPress themes user experiences. Sure, it’ll be a wild ride updating my existing WordPress theme catalog, though I’m confident it’ll pay off in the end.
